  • EVACUATE OLD BRAKE FLUID FROM RESERVOIR / CLEAN RESERVOIR IF POSSIBLE / FILL WITH NEW BRAKE FLUID / EXCHANGE FLUID IN SYSTEM UNTIL CLEAR FLUID APPEARS AT ALL 4 WHEELS / TOP OFF SYSTEM / CHECK FOR LEAKS. (NOTE) CARTEX IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGE TO HYDRAULIC BRAKE COMPONENTS DUE TO AGE, AS OCCASSIONALLY WHEN PERFORMING SERVICE ON AN OLD SYSTEM, BY-PASS CAN OCCUR FROM MASTER CYLINDER CAUSING BRAKE PEDAL TO SINK TO FLOOR.

  • INITIAL DIAGNOSTIC IN AN ATTEMPT TO DETERMINE CONCERN'S LISTED ABOVE (NOTE) $120 MINIMUM FEE WILL APPLY / ADJUST TIRE PRESSURE TO SPECIFICATIONS STARTED VEHICLE IN LOT AND IMMEDIATELY GOT REDUCED POWER MESSAGE ON DASH AND FAN KICKED ON AND VERY LOUD. TECH NOT POSSIBLE MISFIRE CONCERN AS WELL HOOKED UP SCANNER IN AN ATTEMPT TO PULL CODES AND FOUND MULTIPLE CODES IN SYSTEM AT THIS TIME-SEE BELOW. CODES: 2B2C FUEL HIGH PRESSURE, PLAUSIBILITY, COLD START 29CD COMBUSTION MISFIRE ON CYLINDER #1 29D1 COMBUSTION MISFIRE ON CYLINDER #5 29CE COMBUSTION MISFIRE ON CYLINDER #2 29D2 COMBUSTION MISFIRE ON CYLINDER #6 29CC COMBUSTION MISFIRE ON SEVERAL CYLINDERS 29F2 FUEL HIGH PRESSURE SYSTEM FUEL PRESSURE VEHICLE ALSO HAS MULTIPLE BODY CODES AND VOLTAGE CODES AT START OF SERVICE *SEE ATTACHED CODES LIST* TECHNICIAN BEGAN CHECKING BATTERY ALTERNATOR AND STARTER SYSTEM DUE TO AMOUNT OF VOLTAGE CODES IN SYSTEM. FOUND BATTERY , ALTERNATOR AND STARTER FUNCTIONING PROPERLY AT THIS TIME. UPON REMOVAL OF ENGINE COVER TECHNICIAN REMOVED COILS AND FOUND COILS SOAKED IN OIL AND ENGINE OIL DOWN IN SPARK PLUG TUBE SEALS. DUE TO DESIGN OF PLASTIC VALVE COVER WARPING UNDER HIGH HEAT CONDITIONS, IT IS RECOMMENDED TO REPLACE PLASTIC VALVE COVER ASSEMBLY DURING SERVICE. TECHNICIAN REMOVED A SPARK PLUG AND TO INSPECT DIODE AND FOUND PLUG IS FOULED UP AT THIS TIME. ENGINE MAY HAVE FUEL DELIVERY ISSUE AT THIS TIME. TO FURTHER RECHECK FOR FURTHER ISSUES AT THIS TIME WE RECOMMEND: 1] REMOVE AND REPLACE VALVE COVER ASSEMBLY WITH ALL 6 SPARK PLUGS AND IGNITION COILS DURING SERVICE TECHNICIAN FOUND MULTIPLE VACUUM LINES REQUIRING REPLACEMENT DUE TO CRACKS ON THE HOSES, WILL REPLACE DURING SERVICE AFTER SERVICE WAS PERFORMED AND CODES WERE CLEARED TECHNICIAN FOUND FUEL PRESSURE CODES STILL RETURNING AT THIS TIME BUT NO RETURNING MISFIRE CODES. ENGINE IS GOING INTO LIMP MODE AFTER 3,000 RPM. TECHNICIAN INSPECTED FUEL PRESSURES AND FOUND HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP PRESSURE IS DROPPING LOW AT THIS TIME AFTER 3,000 RPM. TO KEEP CHECKING FURTHER IN THE DIAGNOSTIC PROCESS WE RECOMMEND: 1] REMOVE AND REPLACE HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP DURING REPLACEMENT OF FUEL PUMP IT IS RECOMMENDED TO REPLACE THE HIGH PRESSURE FUEL SENSOR AFTER PUMP AND SENSOR WERE REPLACED AND ALL FUEL INJECTORS HAVE THE CORRECT FUEL PRESSURE, VEHICLE IS NO LONGER GOING INTO LIMP MODE. TECHNICIAN WAS ABLE TO GET ALL MONITORS TO RUN AND VEHICLE HAS PASSED SMOG. IS IF CHECK ENGINE LIGHT RETURNS IN FUTURE WILL REQUIRE FURTHER DIAGNOSIS. IF ISSUE RE-OCCURS, POSSIBLE INJECTOR REPLACEMENT WILL BE NEEDED
